Of the many London walks that you can take with us some of the most popular at this time of year are our fun London pub walks.
We have a variety of tours that take in some of the most atmospheric old pubs in London.
Places like Ye Olde Mitre tavern, which has something of a reputation for being one of the most hidden pubs in London. It is in fact tucked away down a tiny passageway off Hatton Garden. The Mitre has now loud music, no fruit machines, no video games - it is a good old-fashioned London boozer in which you can meet with friends and just enjoy the art of coversation.
Another great old Pub in London is the Rising Sun in Cloth Fair. This place welcomes you with a nice fire and offers excellent food. We have been visitng this pub on our London walks for many years now (indeed it is now 28 years since we first took London Walkers over the threshhold of this lovely old pub and it has hardly changed in all that time.
Crossing to the South side of the River Thames, and the area covered on our Shakespeare and Dickens London walks, a little way along Borough High Street, just a short walk from London Bridge, you will find the George Inn. This is London’s only surviving galleried coaching inn and dates from the year 1677. It real is a time capsule and makes for the perfect location to wind down after one of our London walks.
So London really does have some great places for you to discover and the pub walks make for a great way to uncover these little gems.
