We introduced our gift vouchers in 2006 following numerous requests from members of the public asking if they could buy tours for their friends or family.
Since people book our tours in advance ( we are the only one of the London walks companies who actually limit the number of participants on our Jack the Ripper Tour to a sensible and manageable number) this meant that people would have to commit the recipient to taking a tour on a specific night. Whereas we were, and always are, only too willing to switch people’s booking if they find they can’t make the night they are booked on, it still made it awkward for the recipient.
So our Gift Vouchers were born.
The system couldn’t be simpler. You can by a gift voucher for as many places on the tour as you wish. You get and A5 laminated card with a spooky London Street scene on it. The voucher is headed up “A Gift From The Shadows.” On the reverse side it tells the recipient how many places they can book on our Jack the Ripper Tour or Haunted London walks. They have the website address so that they can look at which nights are available. Then they simply phone our booking line and, hey presto, their name goes onto the guest list for that particular night. It’s as simple as that. The vouchers are valid for an entire year so the recipient has the luxury of choosing a night that suits them.
